Our Evaluation and Insights Team has been awarded the Evaluation Systems Award for 2025.

This prestigious award comes from the Australian Evaluation Society’s, the peak body for evaluation in Australia. The society unites experts from government, the private sector, not-for-profits and academia, including international representatives.

The award recognises the team’s effort in creating a practical, customised evaluation system. This system is now part of our policies, program design and delivery. Thanks to their work, disaster recovery programs rely on a stronger evidence base. This includes better theories of change, metrics and evaluations.

The team’s preparatory work allows for quick application during disasters. Evaluation findings and recommendations are routinely used to shape new programs and new funding.
